Untitled (Mondays), 2008-2009
I updated my drivers license photo every week or so for about a year by way of the DMV. The piece explores identity through bureaucracy using the historically conventional form of portraiture. The end result was the updated drivers licenses, intimately linking the process and I to the ubiquitous Department of Transportation’s statewide database.
