  • Develop and oversee community outreach strategy with a focus on underrepresented communities.
  • Research and develop partnerships with advocacy and affinity groups based on campaign goals.
  • Research language preservation and revitalization initiatives in the US, with a focus on Indigenous languages.
  • Develop guidelines for and oversee language and aesthetics of outreach for wide accessibility.

Founding Director
Los Angeles Artist Census. Los Angeles, CA 11/2018 – Present

  • Conceptualized, developed, and oversee data advocacy project about the personal and professional well-being of local visual artists.
  • Facilitated the co-authorship of a 114-question survey through public discussion and workshops inviting local artist communities into the question-building process.
  • Worked with 16 local artists on survey outreach, including developing relationships with 36 local arts organizations serving a diversity of artist communities throughout LA County.
  • Established a public office space through the City of LA and the ICA LA.
  • Oversee data analysis with analyst and research consultants, of over 2,000 survey responses.
  • Co-authored bi-monthly, topical data reports.
  • Develop relationships with local and national arts research communities.
  • Strategize fundraising via grants, membership subscriptions, artist collaborations, and fiscal partnerships.
  • Organize monthly Art + Data Club gatherings to collectively share and learn about contemporary art and data practices.

Founder and Facilitator

  • Conceptualized, developed, and facilitated a grant-based solidarity economy for and by artists.
  • Hosted public programming and discussions on community-driven fundraising.
  • Established partnerships with 27 local art spaces.
  • Convened 28 local artists who co-developed the grant application, fundraised over $17,000, and distributed grant money to fellow local artists.

Program Coordinator
High Desert Test Sites. Joshua Tree, CA 12/2015 – 12/2017

  • Assembled the HDTS archive by bringing together existing ephemera and artifacts from past artworks as well as recording oral and written histories from 22 artists across a 15-year programming history.
  • Co-organized a bi-annual curatorial event, developed monthly tour based on archive, and plannedcreative fundraisers.
